February 25, 2023

There's going to be a small flood of new pages to the site the upcoming days, as I have been very lax in bringing work from the blogs into the site. Very lax considering the main point of the Adversaria blog was to announce new pages to this site. So here's the start of them. (To note, I'm working backwards in time.)

• The Religion drawer is now the Myth and Religion drawer; though, I have not yet changed the tag.
• two new essays in that Myth and Religion drawer, one on Analytic Philosophy and Myth and the other on Ensoulment.
• five new reviews: in cinema, Silence, the Fantastic Beasts movies, The Tree of Life, and The Sandman; while in science fiction and fantasy, Catherynne M. Valente's Radiance.

August 30, 2022

• In the Sillies Drawer was added the Kid's Korner, a collection of children's verse.

August 24, 2022

• In the Gaming drawer, a high speed variant on the roll-and-write game Quixx.

March 26 and 27, 2021

ACTUALLY SOMETHING NEW!. It's been a while, hasn't it. Been working on a big project for a few years, that has been taking all my attentions. Though, I do think somethings might have been added that I forgot to post here.

Anyway. What's new? Four new reviews in the Reviews drawer. Want to try to start doing those with intent, especially with my new energies toward imaginative fiction. (I might start a new drawer.) This time? Sanderson's Mistborn, Jemisin's The Fifth Season, Herbert's Dune, and Gaimon's American Gods.

As an aside: With the reformating/reorganization (see just below) there will be some continued adjustments in the short term. For the most part, these will not be announced.

Jan 27, 2015

• Some Site Redesigning:
      — Some page redesign and reorganization in an attempt to increase usefulness and reading visuals
      — The "The Aesthetic" and "The Nomic" drawer were combined into a new drawer, "Literary Theory and General Criticism"
      — The subject pages were redesigned to work now by way of an topics index; as such, there is far more overlap on pages.
      — Hatters Adversaria drawer added (though it is little more than a link page)
      — All reviews combined into a single, reorganized Reviews drawer.

There are a couple of minor pages that were momentarily taken down, and may or may not return. And there are a number of content pages that are queued in some stage of development. While I am still computer hobbled (and I have been for a bit), I might concentrate on such content development. When the ailments are cured, I intend to have much more fun with content (like giving more play time to the Reviews drawer, and exploring adding graphics to the pages).

The Site Is Up!

Finally at a state where it dare show its face in public, though content is still light. Once up, it will increase. Much time has been spent on the initial design (including having to reteach myself html/css, considering how much has changed since last I tried my hand at this). As such, not much time has been spent in writing — except in gettin some content up on the "Poetry Daily Critique" blog.

At launch, the site's meager offerings are as follows:

  • This "What's New" drawer
  • "Contact, Etc." drawer, for the contact and copyright info
  • "Index" drawer: the index of Cabinet Drawers; something that will be of use later
  • "Purpose" drawer: the who, what, and state of the site
  • "Blogs" drawer: links to my two blogs
  • "The Aesthetic" drawer: currently including "A Basic Statement on the Aesthetic"; "Short Works on the Aesthetic"; and "A Note on Terminology"
  • "The Nomic" drawer: currently including "Observational Notes on Nomic Performance"
  • "Creative Writing" drawer: currently containing "Fourteen Aphorisms on the Creative Endeavor"; "A Writer's Reference Shelf" (unwritten); and a link to the Poetry Daily Critique blog
  • "Literature" drawer: containing "Aesthetic Book-Length Works" (an ongoing list); and "How to Read Finnegans Wake" (unwritten)
  • "Cinema" drawer: presently, an empty drawer
